Moddex makes a stand at Fourth International Urban Design Conference 2011

Moddex was a major sponsor at the fourth International Urban Design Conference ( held at Surfers Paradise late September.

Committed to delivering resilience in urban design, Moddex exhibited its no-weld handrail and balustrade systems which combine strength, safety and sustainable componentry without compromising style.

Delegates at the conference witnessed a revolution in handrails and balustrades. Due to Moddex’s modular design no welding or fabrication is needed resulting in the market’s most rapid and easily installed galvanised guardrail system requiring no specialist trades or tools. Unlike conventional systems, the risk of corrosion at the weld area is reduced, as the galvanised surface is not burnt off by welding.

The comprehensive range includes disability handrails, pedestrian barriers, commercial and industrial balustrade and guardrail systems, bikeway barriers and modular structures.

All balustrades and handrails are easily configured and colour matched to suit any application and are Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, DDA and OHS compliant.
